Landscape photography can be incredibly difficult to master, especially as it’s extremely hard to capture the moment with a point and shoot attitude.
This isn’t to say you can’t get a great landscape scene from your mobile phone, but it’s incredibly rare to capture the raw beauty without changing some settings or thinking about the composition first.

The zoo is the perfect place for photographers of all experiences to get some all important practice in when it comes to taking photographs of animals.
Although the chances of you seeing animals is greatly increased while in a zoo, there are challenges that you will come up against when trying to photograph these magnificent animals. If you have ever tried to take a picture through a glass enclosure or a wire cage, you will know exactly what we are talking about!

A lot of people look at photography as a hobby and think that it’s too expensive; the cost of a high-end DSLR, the price of new lenses and all the fancy equipment you need – it all adds up. And there’s no way around it, because taking great pictures requires an expensive camera, right?
Well, no. In fact, you could probably sell your digital camera right now and still be able to take great photographs without it.
Taking a great picture requires a camera, certainly – but more than that it requires a good eye, and more than often a lot of luck and good timing.

Photographs have always been an integral part of most people’s lives. From reminding them of childhoods that they can’t quite remember, to documenting memories of important events in their lives, it’s hard to think of a world where photographs didn’t exist.
With over 350 million photographs being uploaded to Facebook every day, it’s easy to see how popular taking photographs has become, and it’s no longer just a job for professionals… everyone can get involved.
The exciting thing about being able to capture a moment in a photograph is the power that a single image can hold. Think about it; you’ve just captured a moment in time in a still image that can be kept for a lifetime. We’d say that’s pretty powerful stuff.

With the recent trailer for the upcoming ‘Victor Frankenstein’ being released, it got us thinking about the use of cameras in film and how far they’ve come. While you might be wondering what the connection is between Frankenstein and cameras, you might be surprised to find out that both share an interesting history.
